A very warm welcome to Marino College.
Principal’s Welcome
As a City of Dublin Education and Training Board school, Marino College is a multi-denominational and co-educational school. All are welcome in Marino College.
Each day we bring our core values of Excellence in Education, Respect, Care, Equality and Community to life. This is evident in our classrooms, in our corridors and in our staff room. School culture is vital for your child’s happiness and educational attainment. In Marino College, we value your child’s present and their future. We know that your child’s daily school experience will pave the way for their future. We have high expectations of ourselves as teachers and we instill that ambition in our students. Your child will be valued for who they are and encouraged to achieve their full individual potential.
For nearly 100 years Marino College has been at the forefront of education. In Marino, we provide the full traditional curriculum, and we also aim to harness the best of technology by providing your child with robotics, coding and digital skills for Junior Cycle. We provide two digital QQI level 6 modules and Computer Science in Senior Cycle. We are also a one-to-one iPad school. Not only will your child have experienced excellence in education through the full expanse of the Irish education system, but they will also be extremely digitally literate when they finish their second level education.
Marino College is a landmark building at the entrance to Dublin city, but we are also a vital part of our local Marino Community. For the last few years, we have worked in partnership with our Marino neighbours to run our annual Marino Creative Arts parade. A celebration of all that is the Marino College community. We are also thankful to have many business partners from our local area, Uisce Eireann, Virgin Media, Smartbox and Google to mention a few. We also partner with another ETB school, Clogher Rd., for our annual school musical.
Feeling welcome and being happy in school is vital to educational achievement. Care and respect are fundamental to our school identity. Every child who becomes a Marino College student is valued for who they are. Lunchtime clubs and after school activities provide an opportunity for your child to shine outside of the classroom. Geek retreat, guitar club, creative arts club, soccer and many more artistic and sporting extracurricular opportunities are waiting to be explored.
Being principal of Marino College fills me with pride. We are a strong, committed teaching team. We understand that it is the day-to-day interactions that create a powerful school culture. We understand the importance of our students' future. Each day we build their futures together. We are happy that you are on that journey with us.
